TEHRAN- Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani has asserted that the country's presence in the Red Sea is a security-building measure.

He also said that Tehran does not impose any restrictions on its naval activities.

Iran’s Defense Minister stated that the country’s presence in all waters is a security-building presence, emphasizing that Tehran does not place any limit on itself.

Speaking on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, General Ashtiani emphasized that Iran's presence in all maritime regions is aimed at ensuring stability.

He added that the country is closely monitoring developments across the region, particularly in the sensitive Red Sea.

On the topic of Yemen, General Ashtiani reiterated Iran's unwavering support for the Ansarullah movement, emphasizing their independence and decision-making autonomy. 

He described Yemen as a leading nation taking a stand against domination, adding that any nation opposing the domination system will receive the backing of the region. 
    
Responding to U.S. allegations regarding Iran's involvement in an attack on a chemical carrier in the Indian Ocean, General Ashtiani dismissed the claims as baseless fabrications stemming from Washington's strategic missteps in the region.
 
He attributed the escalating global condemnation of U.S. policies to the desperation of American officials, who resort to making spurious accusations to deflect attention from their failures.
 
On the assassination of Hamas deputy politburo chief Saleh al-Arouri, General Ashtiani condemned the move as a continuation of the U.S.'s "never-ending animosity" towards the region. He warned that disrupting the delicate regional balance will only serve to further undermine U.S. interests.

General Ashtiani concluded by highlighting Iran's advanced military capabilities and its commitment to strengthening its defense posture.

He underscored the country's significant advancements in various military fields and asserted its determination to safeguard regional stability and peace.
